This is a preview from Dark Model’s full album which will be released on May 16th, 2014. Compared with “Close to Infinity,” “Onibi (Demon Fire)” has more touches of modern electronic music such as EDM/Drumstep/Neurofunk (or even Breakcore). However, its arrangement and instrumentation are based on authentic cinematic orchestral music.
Incidentally, “oni” is a kind of yōkai from Japanese folklore, variously translated as demons, devils, ogres or trolls (Wikipedia). “Bi” means fire in Japanese. It is said Onibi stands for the spirits born from the corpses of humans and animals or the grudges of resentful people. (“Onibi” on Wikipedia).
